Everything You Need to Know About Same-Day Flower Delivery

Same-Day flower delivery is a convenient service that allows you to send fresh flowers quickly for last-minute gifts, celebrations or unexpected occasions.  At Panda Flowers, we strive to provide you with the best flower delivery service. Here’s what you need to know:

How Same-Day Flower Delivery Works

1.    You place an order online, by phone or at a local flower shop before a specific cutoff time.  Most cutoff times are around noon or 1 pm.

2.    The florist creates and designs your order.

3.    The flowers are wrapped and packaged for the delivery drivers who pick up afternoon deliveries at 1:00 pm daily.  Your flowers are delivered today!

Info Tidbits

a)    The more time you provide to the florist to create and design your order, the better.  Placing an order at 11:00 am instead of at 12:30 pm allows time to get your same-day delivery order designed, created and ready for pickup by the delivery driver.

b)    Having complete delivery details ready to go when you call expedites the process.  Full address as well as a cell phone contact number for the recipient is a must.  This complete information will expedite our service so you will have the best flower delivery service.

c)    A guaranteed delivery time is difficult to predict.  Depending on volume of deliveries on any given day, and depending on when rush hour traffic starts, your delivery could be completed mid to late afternoon or early evening.   Same-day delivery works great!

d)    IF the delivery time is URGENT, it’s always best to call the shop and discuss this with the florist.  Putting the urgency on the florist’s radar is important.

Important Considerations

Cut-off times:  The daily “same-day delivery” cutoff time is set based on the particular florist’s day to day business and the process held by the delivery driver/company used by that florist.  A good flower shop will do their very best to manage last minute delivery requests based on the options they have available.

Flower Availability:  Some flowers may not be in stock or available in the colour you may have selected online.  Placing a last minute “same day delivery” that requires specific flowers or colours may delay your order.  The florist may try to contact you to suggest favourable substitutions and this service may delay their ability to have your order ready when the drivers are ready to go.  Solution: Choosing the option of “Florist’s Choice” allows the florist to select something fresh from their pre-made cooler selections.  Easy - peasy and the same day order is ready to be wrapped and packaged to go!

Delivery Fees:  Generally, delivery prices are set based on delivery addresses within city limits and most flower shops have a set delivery fee for delivery anywhere within the city.

Prices may vary based on distance, urgency or specific delivery time requests.  Delivery addresses outside of city limits, addresses located in rural areas or remote areas may not be eligible for same day delivery.

Holiday & Weekend Demand:  During peak flower delivery events (Valentines Day & Mother’s Day) placing your order early (a week early!) allows the florist time to schedule additional delivery drivers if necessary.   Last minute, same-day delivery orders may not be eligible for same day delivery simply based on volume of orders in the delivery “queue”.https://www.pandaflowers.ca/
